Spokane Complex Fires, 2026
The Fires Are Named. The Rules Are Local.
JTC Demolition is doing Spokane Complex Fire cleanup. The 2026 complex is three fires: Old Trails, Autumn Lane, and Fairview. Burned houses, shops, garages, and mobile homes taken down. Ash hauled to licensed disposal. Call or text (509) 352-3404.
The Oregon Road Fire and the Gray Fire were August 2023. Elk, Chattaroy, and Medical Lake. Different year. We still do those lots. They are not the 2026 Complex.
This is not a restoration flyer. It is an excavator, a survey, a Clean Air notice, a county permit, and a dump that will reject the load if you skip those steps. EPA household hazardous materials work on many parcels has to finish, or you have to opt out and document it, before grading or excavation can start.
The three 2026 fires
- Old Trails Fire. Started August 1 near Old Trails Road and Euclid Road, north of Airway Heights. Burned into northwest Spokane: Indian Trail, Five Mile Prairie, Balboa, Riverside State Park edge. Most of the structure loss in the Complex.
- Autumn Lane Fire. Largest acreage. Nine Mile Falls, Suncrest, northwest Spokane County and southeast Stevens County. See also Nine Mile Falls fire debris.
- Fairview Fire. Mead and Peone Prairie, northeast of Spokane, near Fairview Road and Piper Road.

What we do on a Complex Fire lot
- Asbestos survey coordination, usually an alternate grid survey on burned debris
- Spokane Clean Air Notice of Intent and the waiting period
- Spokane County demolition or debris permit, or the rebuild permit when that covers demo
- Take-down of what is still standing, load-out of ash and mixed debris
- Haul to Graham Road for ash and asbestos-containing material
- Metal, household contents, vehicles, and appliances split out. Graham Road will not take them
Agencies that actually control the start date

Spokane Regional Health District covers reentry, ash exposure, wells, and septic after a wildfire: After a wildfire. Statewide walkthrough: After the Fire WA.
